I think it's quite pathetic and incredibly sad that Dani Alves came out to say that their defeat of Haiti has now made up for that infamous night in 2014. It's not that he came out and said it but nobody else from the Brazilian camp or federation came out to shut down those words.
Do Brazil really think that by defeating a nation who have never even come close to qualifying for any tournament now means they have gotten past their German circumcision? Anyone who thinks that, needs their head checked or is just a complete idiot.
lack of quality on the ball. This is the same Brazil who are too scared to attack and only hit teams with puny counter-attacks and quickly retreat back to defend with every man, woman, child and teddy bear.
I didn't even bother watching the Haiti game because it's not really a contest. Even as garbage as Brazil are right now, they ought to defeat Haiti. The scoreline doesn't matter because Haiti are really just here to represent and put a smile on Haitians who have been through Hell in recent years.
This match has zero bearing on whether or not Brazil can do well in this Copa America.
It's all about Peru and what they can do in that game. If Brazil lose that game and Ecuador beat Haiti, then they are out. So their focus should solely be on that game and this match should be forgotten about. This is Brazil for goodness sake. Celebrating any kind of victory against Haiti is insulting to this great football nation.
The only way Brazil will vanquish those dark memories against Germany is by winning the World Cup, or by giving Germany a taste of their own medicine. Anything other than that, the pain will remain. HH
